The NOMADS are a group of men from many disciplines of life. These disciplines include Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Education, Government, Banking, Engineering and Business. They not only contribute to their respective professions, but give much time and input to civic and social service activities in their local communities. The thread that is common among them is their love and enjoyment of the game of GOLF.

Club History

1958

The Nomads Golf Club was founded in 1950 by a group of doctors and lawyers from Chicago; black men who loved the game, even though the game did not seem to love then in return.

1968

Sheraton Resort and Country Club – San Juan, Puerto Rico, Champion – Waldo Cain. Once a meeting of people interested in establishing a golf club formed a committee to creating the best golf bond.

1978

In 1921, another chapter of our golf club began with the opening of a new state-of-the-art clubhouse and banquet facility. It was an unprecedented level of hospitality to the golf industry.

1998

We offer views of the golf course, one of the best kept in the area, from the picture windows of its beautifully decorated clubhouse. It’s an ideal location for weddings and special events.

2008

The club has greatly improved and the business plan must coincide with its excellence. Our mission is to provide first-class products, service, and facilities to be used by all clients.
